Working with traditional motion control robots, especially on location, is always a challenge. They're often too big, too time intensive and too expensive. We wanted better, and that's how Ryft came to be.
Designed by D2 Motion of Australia, our robots, SLIM and STRETCH, are lightweight, easy to travel and quick to build motion control arms that deliver high end cinematic motion control without the usual pain points. Operated by a single technician, they are both budget friendly and highly capable arms built to tackle every shot (moco or not) on location, in studio, and pretty much anywhere.​​​​​
SLIM + STRETCH
STRETCH is all about more. More speed, more reach and more payload. We recommend keeping it on it's proprietary base vs a dolly or the like, but ​with nearly 10 feet of linear reach, yet it is just as nimble, and frankly, replaces a dolly.
Worth noting is because of it's increased size, Stretch ships via freight vs checked luggage but packs down into six portable cases that are easy to transport.

SLIM is powerful robot packed into a lightweight form factor. With a three foot diameter diameter, it can work in locations that other robots can't. Operated by a single technician, and packed into three (or five) pelican cases, it flies as carry on luggage and travels in personal vehicles. With a mitchell mount based, It's also highly versatile on set, and can operate from dolly, crane, truss or on its bazooka base.
